Provides information on every known species and cultivar up to the time of publication. Often referred to as “The Bible” for Begonia growers.
In my opinion, this is the best begonia reference book ever written. I can’t tell you how many times that I have read it cover to cover. And I continue to reference it each year. Sure it is getting on a bit now as it was first published in 1981.
It obviously doesn’t include hybrids that were developed after the book was published, however, it does describe in detail all the different types of begonias and their histories.
Written by Mildred & Edward Thompson, published by Times Books in 1981 it is now out of print but second-hand copies are still available through via Amazon.com
